Soft Jaws
Soft Jaws provide machinable surfaces which are customised by the end user to provide accurate component clamping. Since soft jaws can be cut they can be used in place of fixtures and simple toolings and reused several times for other components before they wear out . We manufacture soft jaws in — MS (Mild Steel), EN9 and Aluminum or as per customer requirement.
Soft Jaws are used for Second operations.
We manufacture the following soft jaws in flat as well as pointed types:
- 1.5mm x 60° serrations - These are suitable for Kitagawa, Pratt Burnerd, Howa, Schunk, etc chucks.
- 1/16” x 90 serrations
- We also have facilities to manufacture any serration be it 1.5mm x 60, 2mm x 60, 2.5mm x 60, 3mm x 60, 3/32” x 90, etc
- Tongue and Groove type soft jaws also known as Tenon type soft jaws
- Teeth type soft jaws - For scroll operated chucks
The above standard soft jaws are also available in Pie type design.
Besides the our standard product range mentioned above we also manufacture soft jaws as per customer drawings/requirements - special as well as standard.
